THERE IS STILL A LARGE DEMAND FOR
EXPERIENCED
LEGAL SECRETARIES
and
WORD PROCESSORS!!!

Dear readers:
Because of a mistake that I found on my resume that appears on
http://hotjobs.yahoo.com/
I corrected it and also changed it a little not thinking that anything major was
going to happen but
to my surprise
for 3 weeks I have gotten calls in reference to my resume
on the average of 1 per day! I have gotten calls for work not only in
New York
but also White Plains and New Jersey!
I also have a friend that lives in Baltimore, Maryland which
is close to Washtington DC, so as an experiment I put my resume on the

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wl/jobs/home
internet site and I got about ten inquiries from
Washington, Virginia and Baltimore! One law
firm actually called and asked me to answer 3 questions and told me that
someone might contact me at a later point!
I also spoke with 3 of the other agencies that called me
and I was told that
experienced legal word processors
and legal secretaries
are in demand in Washington, DC
because there aren't many skilled ones.
But don't take my word for it, you can contact a
Washington employment agency
and ask them yourself!
Incredibly the rates are the same as in New York,
$60,000 to $75,000 per year
and $22.00 to $26.00 as a temp!
So, if you live in the Washington, DC area
and you are interested in becoming
a legal word processor or legal secretary
THERE IS A DEMAND FOR THESE SKILLS!

Question?
WHY IS
LEGAL WORD PROCESSING IMPORTANT?
The following text is from
How To Become Successful
In The Legal Secretarial And
Word Processing Markets
For every document conceived in any law firm, financial firm, cosmetic company, retail company, or any real estate deal, legal matter, or stocks of a company being sold, these matters first have to be typed, proofread and then used. In New York there are hundreds of law firms, many financial companies and other kinds of companies that rely on the work of legal secretaries/word processors. Millions of documents are created and edited daily. You have real estate, wills, bankruptcy, injury, trusts and estate, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate agreement documents just to name a few that are created and revised daily all over the world. I’ve worked on documents that were responsible for sending satellites up in space, famous personalities – (musicians, actors), professional sports teams, American black hair companies doing business in South Africa, legal documents also from China and Europe and cable channel boxing events. In my 14 year experience these are just a few things that I worked on. Every idea that will generate money has to be typed. It can be anything scientific, legal, or even a new product.

In New York and many other states and countries word processing runs 24 hours. Many companies have word processing centers that operate 24 hours a day including weekends and holidays because of the demand for documents to be created and revised.

Word processing generates billions of dollars because for every merger and acquisition, real estate deal, buying or selling of stock, will, patent or trademark agreement, court case, corporate agreement (to just name a few divisions of law plus all the other numerous kinds of documents in other sectors) word processing and legal secretaries are used to create an original document to be seen and agreed upon. Without a document explaining a particular agreement in fine points money would not exchanged in these deals that generate billions of dollars a year and word processors and legal secretaries are needed in every city, state and country to produce them. And this is not going to stop any time soon.

Now,
Let's get straight to the point,
friend
you are interested in becoming a legal
secretary or legal word processor
but you might ask yourself
Are there really people making
money in this field?

Yes!!!
$$$$

Okay, let's start with me. I, Julian C. Green, author of
"How To Become Successful
In The Legal Secretarial and
Word Processing Markets"
am not just some author or bookwriter trying to get your money.
For the past 16 years I have been a legal secretary/word processor in New York.
I live it and my ear is to the street.
Right now I am making between $21.00 and $27.00 an hour!!!
without a college degree!!
And I'm not the only one!!!
ATTENTION!

and read about my hiring!
I was hired this weekend (June 3, 2006)
at a major New York Law Firm!
In the past few months (April, May and June 2006) I have tested
at a number of law firms and registered at a number
of different employment agencies....
because I posted my resume on monster,
hotjobs and careerbuilders where I saw opportunity.
Yesterday (March 1, 2006) I got a call because
I had passed a test at one of these law firms for work......
and was told by the employment agency who sent me that next week
the law firm wants me to train there and learn
their system for a week on second shift
and then start working on
3rd shift at a rate of $26.00 an hour!!!
I will be paid $26.00 an hour for the training!!
My counselor said it's only one week
so I got lucky!!
I initially went for a permanent supervisor
position that they had....but I didn't have enough
supervisory experience.
the salary that the manager
who interviewed me stated for that position
was
$68,000 - $74,000!!

My plan is to go to school for management!!!
You can't win them all........
(this salary pertains to not just New York
but the whole United States!
If you do a search for legal secretaries
or word processors you'll see that
top salaries reach $75,000 per year
and sometimes more!!)
Anyway, I already have a long term assignment on the
weekend making $22.00 an hour on two 12 hour shifts.
The shifts are 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. Saturday and Sunday.
You do the math on what
I will make for the week!
These are two temp positions that I have...
A lot of people that I know work exclusively
temp because
it gives them the freedom to pursue whatever
goals or pursuits they might have
like, acting or being a musician
but
there are also people in New York that I know

that have two permanent jobs in law firms
or
one permanent job and a
long term temp postion
making $70,000 to $100,000 per year!!

For example, years ago before I knew "the deal"
you know, what was "really goin' on" -- the "real ballistics" as they say
there was a lady that was a supervisor in a law firm
near where the World Trade Center used to be.
She was the supervisor for the weekend shift.
One morning both she and another permanent worker were joking
about her red Mercedes and how she should move
it because she would get a ticket.
I remember thinking
is she making that much as a
supervisor?

Anyway, a couple of months went by and I had moved on
to other things and other assignments.
I happened to go to another law firm and
I saw her.
She told me that she was working permanently there along with
her other job.......
She was also the supervisor at her second job also.
I would estimate that with her
two permanent jobs, she was making close to
$100,000 a year!!

I know that working two jobs can be a drag
but because of the ability to make a lot of money
working in law firms
that's what a lot of people are doing in
New York
it's like a subculture
and also there are many opportunities...
again, she is not the only one....
Along with my assignment on the weekend I work during the week...
I work at a number of law firms as a temp and
there is one firm that I know a lot of
employees who've I worked with over the years.
There is one lady who works there permanently
and she works with me at the weekend gig that I have...
On Monday morning at 8:00 a.m. she goes
straight to the other job.....
You might ask ,
Would'nt she be tired after doing a 12 hour shift?
Well, she says that she gets a spark of energy
in the morning!
But also, everybody who wants to,
takes a nap
on my weekend gig
It's incredible....
on a lot of these assignments
there is a lot of down time
where you sit around,
surfing the internet
making
$21.00 to $27.00 an hour!
Make no mistake
when there is work
everybody works, but occasionally
there is downtime.
I really could go on and on....
these are only a few stories....
but
just as easily this could be
you!!!!!
